I have had my braces for 3 months now, and I know how cleaning can be painful.

First, I use my Hydrfloss. I had an oral b, but since the Hyddrofloss, I get better results since it has a pulsating action.

Then, I use a sonicare toothbrush (I had this before I had braces, and LOVED it, but it doesn't seem to reach the teeth as well with braces on.

Sooooo, after that, I use a baby toothbrush to remove anything that hasn't been removed.

Then, I floss with a floss that has a stiff end (I think its oral b).

THEN - I rinse with Listerine, because they say it kills plaque germs, and I don't want to take any chances!!!!

If it seems that I am ANAL about my cleaning routine, I AM....

I have dreams of having straight teeth, and having them fall out because of gum disease, so THAT MOTIVATES ME.

But - mostly, its because I am 59 years old, and I have always had problems with my teeth. I should have had them straightened a long time ago, but didn't for a lot of reasons. Soooo, now I am, and I want them to be as perfect as they could be (because of how expensive it is, mostly :>). So, I am motivated to do all I can. Anyway, if you have the time, and motivation, I don't think you can clean your teeth TOO OFTEN.

Micki
