Ah, my favorite subject: FOOD

Never be afraid to eat!!! - you need to, to survive. Heck, our ancestors (and quite a few places on earth) ate with their hands. Too bad social niceties and the invention of the fork had to get in the way. Thank god I have no issues with eating in public, food is too much a thing to be enjoyed, not fretted over. Ok, I’ll stop with my prater…

Here are some good lunch discoveries for eating out.

Deli sandwiches don’t do it. I’m not sure where you live, or what food chains are near you but these seem to work for me:

1. Cosi sandwiches. Can be a bit expensive, but the bread is freshly baked and some sandwiches, like their Tandori Chicken, have the meat already cut into bite sizes. I open the wrap, eat the chicken with a fork, then break up the bread separately and eat that.

2. Pret A Manger sandwiches. Especially their hummus sandwich –sooooo soft, it’s the only sandwich I've been able to completely bite into.

Other alternatives:
3. Yogurt. Now a regular snack of mine. You can never go wrong with this.

4. Smoothies. Especially Jamba Juice – I get the Protein Berry Pizzazz – high in Vitamin C, protein, calcium and phosphorous. Tastes great too!

5. Calzones – very soft, as they are mostly cheese.

6. Chinese Dumplings are just the right size. Steamed vegetable and shrimp dumplings are now a lunch regular.

And for dinner, I just found the best food!!!! I ordered a Turkey Pot Pie a few nights ago at a local restaurant – it was one of their night’s handmade specials. Never had pot pie before – its like adult baby food – all mushy and good.

Hope this helps.
