For me those were pretty much the worst part. I had open coil springs, 2 of them. They were jsut not fun mostly because of where they were. they kinda went like this T**TT**T kinda get what i mean...the t's are teeth and the stars make up the open coil springs..lol...and the 2 middle teeth were my centrals and behind the coils were my teeth. When i first got them on they hurt as would most other new stuff that they put in my mouth. But then they started getting stuck in my bottom lip(mostly because i play flute in band and i have to have my mouth a certain way that was horrible with the springs) But after the area by the springs toughened up things weren't that bad. And they worked so well for me. space for the teeth to move foreward opened up very nicely, and i was very happy at my last adjustment to get them off!!!...and now the teeth are foreward!! so they are way worth the discomfort at first. and mine really did hurt, as in pain. Im not sure if thats liek that for everyone tho.
