Well done on getting an end in sight! After 28 months of treatment I would have thought your teeth are pretty much settled in their right places now, and maybe 6 days without retention wouldn't be so bad. My braces came off after only 15 months (the last few months using powerchains to close extraction gaps) and small gaps opened up where I had had extractions within a week. I have bonded retainers and the teeth that are bonded haven't budged at all, the only movement was with unbonded teeth.
Is it possible for you to discuss your worries with your ortho's office?
