Congratulations, Scott. I have no information about your teeth moving while you wait for your retainers. However, something I have read on this forum many times might give you another reason for waiting until after your vacation. I've read that some people's teeth get very sore for days AFTER the braces removal...and that's not something I would want to put up with while on a lovely vacation. At least with your braces still on you won't have to deal with that, too. I have experienced something similar to that when my all my power chains were removed and regular o-rings were put back on, and when I stopped wearing elastics for a while. I was very surprised at how sore my teeth were after that particular pressure was removed.

Just something to consider.
