You know, this brings up a really good point. When we get clear brackets, we assume that our mouth will look like the pretty picture of the clear braces. But that is not always true. It depends on whether you need tie wires, power chains, loops, springs, or other gadgets or extras during your treatment.

I think I'm going to update the basic info pages on ArchWired to include this point. Why pay so much more for ceramic brackets and then end up with a metal-looking smile anyway?

White tie wires are one possible solution, but not everyone likes to work with those.
