Thanks, everyone, for your input! I can't wait to go Monday and tell him what I expect.

I've read a lot of comments about metal versus clear braces... I chose clear because I am 27 with 2 young children... I look like I am 16 and didn't want to look any more like a teenager than I already do! (At **24 years old** and pregnant with my son, I got a lot of comments about being a 'pregnant teenager' and such, while my husband and I had already been together for 6 years, he's been working for Bose Corp for 7 years, and we've never relied on the government for help!!) From a distance of several feet, the clear aren't nearly as noticeable as the metal. It's not that big of a deal about the wire ties, but I expected to get what the picture showed on his desk; you know, the one they show you for the clear braces? I paid several hundred extra up-front to get clear brackets on all my teeth and I expected to get what was in the picture he showed me! I am definitely glad you guys told me about the white wire ties, I'm going to bring that up to him.

Anyway, I'm really glad I found this 'forum'... there are a lot of nice people here!
