I was late for my first adjustment too. They only slot you 15 minutes, I was 10 minutes late. The asst got the wire off, and the new one on in five, so it wasn't a problem. They did mention it to me though, and I felt bad because I know how busy they are. They probably should have cut you some slack, but you don't know what their schedule was like that day, maybe there just wasn't time to fit you in. Bet you won't be late again though :)
