My dentists tried to swear me off sugar too!
However, I think my brain omitted that sound bite. In my memory, I see my ortho speaking, but as if someone pressed the mute button, nothing is coming out of his mouth….. Case in point, in day 3 of braces, I was at a basketball game and couldn’t resist cotton candy (talk about sugar!) The little bad angle that sits on my shoulder convinced me that it was the softest food option available to me at the time. After my first delicious bite, I swear I kept darting my eyes around for the spotlight and the Ortho Patrol to come and arrest me for Illegal Possession of Extreme Sugar by a Brace Face. I have also eaten more chocolate pudding in the last two weeks than the last prior six months. I might be the only person on this board that will gain weight as a consequence of wearing braces!!!
