There are three main reasons you can't eat things

1 It's likely to cause you to break a bracket off .. hard things, sticky things, peanuts, pizza crust .....

2 You can't bite into it .. apples, toffee apples, corn on the cob .....

3 It hurts!

If you can eat it without breaking off a bracket or bending a wire and it doesn't hurt too much, then go for it.

There is a fourth one but it isn't really valid .. paranoid orthodontist. I had one of those! He told me I couldn't eat anything with sugar in it while I had braces ... yeah, right!!!
