It will get better,

I place alot of comfort aids when I place lingual braces -- the goal being that the first month isnt too bad. I recommend reading out loud, this will help with the speech. Soft foods initially since your back teeth arent touching (note this would be the sme if you had outside braces with buildups)
It will get better the first few weeks are the worst then smooth sailing.
