If you go the oral surgeon puts you under route it is no big deal. I had mine out when I was twenty or so and they put me under and I woke up and didn't even know what happened. They even gave me the teeth which he had to split a couple of them to get them out - they were impacted too. One tooth came out whole though - cool necklace? I have since lost them though. :( When I woke up I felt like I had had the best sleep of my life, whatever they use to knock you out it is awesome! : ) I took motrin after that and I was cool. Wisdom teeth - no big deal. It is all in your mind, don't worry about it.
