I also am a grinder. I should have gotten braces when I was younger but didn't realize I needed them, etc etc. I'm now 46. Due to the grinding, and other problems, I have five missing teeth, will need twelve front crowns to replace the very short ones that are my own, from grinding. If I didn't do this I'd undoubtedly have to get false teeth in twenty years, god forbid, going through two years of orthodontics is so worth it, i can even say this only three months into treatment.

If I could turn back the clock I'd do this at twenty, or thirty, but it's even OK at 46. Your teeth and your health are important, you don't appreciate them until they're gone.

Bear up and do it, you won't regret it.
