Subject: Should I change oral surgeons?

This isn't really a braces question, but I'm sure many of you had extractions done, so I'd like your opinions.

I had four extractions done. They were supposed to be the simple extractions, first tooth behind the canine (sorry I don't know the name). Three of them came out great. The fourth was misery (and actually tehe first one she pulled). To make a long story short...the left bottom tooth broke (which I realize happens, especially with adults) and she had to dig out the root (sorry if this grosses anyone out!), and stitch it. Well, 4-5 days later, when the stitches were out, I pulled out a fairly large sliver of the tooth (although she said it might have been a bone fragment, but it looked like a part of the tooth to me). Also, she literally took a lot of my gum, like dug it out I guess, all the way down to where my inside cheek would meet the gums. There was also a small piece of bone coming out of the gums, that when I went back to ask if it was ok to heal like that, was told that the gum would grow over it, especially where I'd have the braces. I do not have my bottom braces on yet.

I guess I'm also wondering if my gums are going to heal normally, the braces will close the gap, and I'm hoping pull the gumline together.

My real question is this....I need to have my four wisdom teeth out. The bottom two are impacted, the top two are only half way in, and they jut outward. The oral surgeon saw the xrays and was literally excited. "I can't wait to get these out, forget these simple extractions". But I'm afraid that with the complications from the "simple" extractions, that I should have someone else do it. The other three teeth were a breeze, and I would like to go back to her, she was very nice, convenient place, etc. So is it normal to have those complications? I'm not doubting her competancy, just worried about having four more teeth removed, especially where two are impacted.

Sorry this got so long :)
