Hi! I am about to put my braces on sometime next month. Not really excited, cuz i am 23!!! anyways, did any of your doctor made you wear a tongue inhabiting appliance before you actually put on the braces? Its like a thing thats behind your teeth, makes your tongue stop hitting your front teeth. The reason my doctor gave me was, after I am done with the orthodontics, my tongue will hit my front teeth again, make it look like what it has been before, so with this ill get into a habit of not hitting my front teeth. (Sorry if i am confusing anybody, its 4 in the morning, hehe). This appliance is really bothering me. I cant talk properly anymore, becuase the appliance is on my tongue's way. I dont understand why I cant I just practice this tongue inhabitance on my own. Does anybody know if I really need this appliance? Can i actually practice on my own? I would really appreciate it if somebody can help me out. Thank you guys.
