There was an interesting thread here a few days ago about whether Invisalign should be marketing to teens and emphasizing how undesirable conventional braces are -- especially since there are many who, like you, will be very disappointed to learn they're not good candidates and need the conventional braces after all. I'm sure your initial angry reaction is fairly common -- however, acting all pissed off won't do much good, or make the next year or so go any easier. Here's hoping that attitude is only temporary, and that you'll quickly find out that other people aren't going to think less of you (or even give a rip) if you have braces for a while. Nope, life isn't over, and maybe before too long you'll even reverse your policy of never "teeth smiling." Good luck!
