ok....where shall i begin...Being 16 myself and in braces, i would like to offer some insight at my age about all of this stuff. This is pretty hard because usually at this age most of the people our age are getting them off. I hear all the time i get mine off in a month, 2 months, and stuff like that all the time. And people my age are not always that supportive. Most people were nice when i got them on but some people were pretty rude, thinking it was funny to joke around with me and laugh at me for having to get them. Well it was not funny at all. Ive been in them for 6 months and i still hear from many people man im glad im not in braces at my age like you, i would be so mad. And most people say a common phrase, man it sucks to be you. well i shouldnt say most people actually, no offence to the males on teh forum, but pretty much all the negative comments i got were from guys.
My main problem with having them now is we have always had the money and my parents never got around to getting them for my untill now, but they got them from my sister(20) and brother(12) at age 11 and 12 when they needed them and ive needed them for a long time and i finally got them due to my brother needing them. It just makes me feel pretty unloved sometimes. Im not the least bit ungrateful about getting them now tho. From what i have read on here i experience MANY of the some problems as the people on this site. Usually at 16 things are hard, many of us go through self-image issues .
I understand that as an adult you may have more things that have to be done and i dont know how some of u guys can go through all of that. I know that i am extremely lucky to have gotten my braces but that took me a little while to understand. Im sure ImReallyTired will realize that too. This forum made me realize that i shouldnt be ungrateful at all having to get braces at 16 thanks to all of you guys.
And with her saying she wants to have them off for graduation and prom i can understand where she is coming from. I dont have those demands, but i understand. With senior pictures, those are the last school pictures you will ever have and are ones that are looked on for many years to come. for example the only picture i have seen of my dad from when he was under his 30's was his senior picture. Untill i found out that they can airbrush braces off i was pretty upset about having them for my senior pictures. Also i read about someone having them on for their wedding and figured if they can do it for that, i can do it for prom and graduation.
There isnt anywhere else for us to go. I have found one other site and u cant basically get anyone to answer your questions nicely.
Her demanding things wasnt the way to go but i dont want to get into all of that.
Someone said its normal to have braces in south florida in high school and well that is where i live and i guess its normal to have them untill your 16....but i only know 2 other people in my grade so far who will have just gottem their braces on and will go through the rest of high school with them.
And someone said kids today arent grateful. It would be nice if u didnt make such an assumption. Its amazing how a few kids can give all of us a bad image.
And really no one answered her actual question about the mystigue brackets. I would have but i dont have them. I just try to be nice to everyone, i figure thats the best thing to do.
But im sure we wont have to worry about her saying any more stuff on here because she probible wont come back, but if she is going to be that demanding and ungrateful, thats not a bad thing in my eyes.
Well there is my 2 cents, i really hope i didnt offend anyone, i really tried not to, just wanted to give an opinion from someone her age who is in the process and has learned not to be ungrateful.

P.S. I talk a lot hence the reason all of my posts are rather long...sorry for them being that way, just cant seem to make them short w/o saying all i have to say.
