Thank you very much for the translation, Katerina. The article is more interesting then I expected. Even when it's completely fabricated it indirectly shows what intrigues Russian readers.

The question is: Did Joan Fischer really give the author in 1958 an interview? Could we get the whole interview? Was the interview ever published? Would you be able to get in contact with Eugeny Bebchuckhim? On this website I found a picture of him and the location of his office (Lubyanka):

But I would not be suprised if Mr. Bebchuk already passed away. He does not look very healthy on the picture.

Maybe you could also ask him why he made such a strange mistake with the name of Joan Fischer. It's so strange that I don't draw any conclusion from it.

The conversation Bebchuk had with Fischer four years ago might be genuine. I did not know Liliental had such good relations with Fischer.
