Look, what I found having compared the first and the second articles. The authors contradict themselves. When they really saw Regina's file, why don't they know the exact number of pages? Why are the facts inappropriate? It does not prove that the authors faked the story, but shows their inaccuracy.

article 1:
Regina Fischer's 750-page FBI file is publicly available because she is deceased.
article 2:
There is a terse account of the liaison in the 900-page file that the FBI eventually compiled on Regina.

a1:Regina Fischer spoke eight languages.
a2:Fischer's mother, Regina, spoke six languages

a2:It was 1942, and Regina Fischer was in Denver....She was the mother of a 5-year-old girl, and she was alone.

a1:During her pregnancy, she considered putting her baby up for adoption.
a2:She briefly considered putting her newborn son up for adoption.

a1:She was brilliant but paranoid, a psychiatrist determined in 1943.
a2:A court-ordered psychological exam found her to be "paranoid" and "querulous."

a1:In 1942, someone went through her papers, found politically tinged letters, and telephoned the FBI. That is what drew the agency's attention.
a2: The investigation began in 1942, when a baby-sitter found what she believed to be pro-communist letters belonging to Regina and turned them over to the FBI.
