I referred to your pitch as being 'awful' and I stand by that word. I'm not into telling lies and think I owe it to my readership, (especially the fans that couldn't get to the game) to tell them exactly what the quality of the pitch was like.

We have stadia criteria that we have to meet to be in this league, with my gripe being that we are required to have seating for more fans than we actually have, with absolutely no regard for the quality of the pitches. Surely that is wrong? I like to watch a good quality game of football, and that's not at all possible on your pitch. I'm not blind though, I understand that you have a very hard working group of people behind the scenes, and that my words will upset some people. Having said that I've never met anybody at Glossop that has disagreed with me. They would all sooner play on a better surface, but until they are told that they need to do something about it, they'll leave it as it is!

I was extremely pleased with the collection made for Ian Price, but what that has to do with what I said...only you know! I haven't slagged off your people, as I always find that your supporters are very pleasant, so why have a go at ours?

Finally, do you disagree with me about the quality of your pitch?
