Glossop don't have the manpower to produce a billiard table surface. Neither do they have the weather - witness the game vs Bacup this season where as well being forced his sun cap at the start of the 2nd half, our goalkeeper also faced a barrage of hail stones, gail force winds and driving rain. The pitch is the same for both sides. We have some talented players who would prefer a better surface too. But I'm afraid it can't be helped. If it's any consolation, it's improving year on year. I think 'awful' is OTT too. It is, at least, flat - unlike many in the league. btw, new stadiums often have problems with pitches! A very critical eye will be perusing yours next season :-) ps - match report now on our site. It's Glossop centric of course - but if you're interested it's there [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
