Subject: ZZR1100 D6 - Rough Running or What?? Help !! rough as a bagers bum

Hi, to all top ZZR1100 people with some knowledge to spare.

I have just collected a ZZR1100 D6 with 11,000 miles on the clock. Not much so I'd expect it to run just fine.

However, I rode home only to find for 50 of the 60 miles the bike ran as rough as a badgers bum.

Sometimes it would feel two cylinders firing, then it would shoot off leaving me to hold on for dear life then back to dody running, by the time I got home it would do no more than 30mph and sounded like it was one cylinder running. Disaster!!

Can anyone help shed some light on my plight? I'll check the plugs HT leads and coils tomorrow. OR could it be carb icing, or is there some dark sinister fault with the ignition system, OR is there something going on with the new fangled KTRIC system. My D1 with 59k never missed a beat, this pile of lard is about as good as a HondaC90 at the moment ( which might be considered a compliment by some ).

Anyway you wisdom is apprecited,

Richard cold, wet, £2.8k worse off, no f**ing tax either, 30mph top speed, cant believe i've been such a plonker.
