I started making it a point to take a look at how many houses have a garbage can in front of their garage or next to the side of their house since y'all brought these issues up.

I have to tell you, it's more than 50% of the households. If you took a vote just by who is going against that covenant, you'd have more than enough votes to override that particular covenant.

Since the basketball goals are also quite numerous. I was counting at least 1 in 10 houses (I think I am being conservative there). That's at least 10% who have the goals. I am sure many of them have neighbors who are just fine with that, so the percentage for that is also quite high.

While I appreciate the neatness of the community, I also realize that this particular point in time is rough. We are all working extra hours and doing with less. Overly restrictive covenants are not a selling point.
