I wonder what's become of Lola and the other Tories who posted to the old Voy forums discussion board.

Anyway, I don't know if any of the campaigns are running on credit or loans. Which might explain why several of the candidates are not travelling as much as I'm sure they'd like to.

This has to have been the most "unlucky" leadership race in the history of politics in this country. The Quebec election and the talk of an Ontario election this spring both contributed to a general lack of fundraising opportunities during our leadership race.

In addition, the Iraq war and the SARS epidemic have combined to push our leadership campaign further into the back pages of our country's newspapers.

As a result, we aren't going to be able to count on the usual bump in the polls that a leadership race usually provides. It's time we stopped worrying about such stupid things anyway and gave Canadians something to get excited about. I'm fairly certain that they would be very receptive to a party that appears to be excited and anxious to go to the polls. Paul Martin is not going to excite Canadians, he's barely awake himself it seems (seriously, the man is incredibly boring).

From now on, instead of telling Canadians who's got the better ideas, let's make it obvious.
