Maybe its my perception of his writing that makes him seem a tad Anti-German. And being a Catholic I thought he'd NEVER stop confessing and get to the point!: D

Yes, I would agree with his flawed historical perspective. To see the way he paints it, its truly a MIRACLE that Judaism has survived. Thats not to say that things haven't been horribly difficult but still... I think he is very "agenda" in the book. Well with this subject it would be hard to stay objective but he is definately painting all the bad things European Catholics did in VERY bright colors while making you hunt and peck out the good things.

But its a good book overall.. and it is making me think and look at a great many things from a different perspective.. that alone is worthwhile.

Oh yeah and he isn't very fond of the Roman Empire either. He seems to equate them with Stalin... umm yeah okay whatever you say James!
