I watched The Gift today and didn't move once from my seat. The whodunnit game kept the captivation towards the end. I thought maybe it was the wife, the Buddy, the Prosecutor. The boyfriend was at the bottom of the list but likely. She was excellent. The effects of the scene of the corpse with the open eye will haunt me.

I have also Sweet November to see tonight. Just a fluke that Keanu is in both. Then I have Virgin Suicide. That should go over well with the mood I'm in. It's a five day rental, I'll save that for another day.

I'm wondering how Planet of the Apes went.

I saw Peal Harbour, and I found it quite moving. Maybe it had something to do with my childhood. My stepfather was an island boy. He was one of those in the fields on the mountain side who watched the whole thing go down. When I was growing up, Pearl Harbour was always in view from my family's picture window, especially the Arizona memorial, glistening white in the sunlight in the distance. The movie's love story wasn't half bad, but perhaps I was in a super sappy mood.
