Yeah, you've gotta be careful voicing your observations!! I've learned this lesson in recent months, because other people don't like criticism from others.

I've seen Nigel at quite a few gigs where hardly anybody else that frequents this forum has gone, so i wouldn't be too harsh, Tofton. Maybe Nigel is skint and hasn't got as much money stashed away as a lot of people think, hehe.

Support the Scene (my observation) - a lot of people in Hull just go to gigs when their band is playing or when their mates' band is playing. There is supporting the 'local' scene and then there is supporting the 'UK' scene.

Too many people here in Hull, in my opinion, just seem to support the local scene (as good as it is), and not turn out, for the out of town bands when there are no local support bands play. This is hardly promoting Hull has a good place for other British bands to come and play, so no wonder a lot of quality bands pass us by and play at places such as Scunthorpe instead of coming here.

Luckily, thanks to the little kids, the attendence levels at recent local 'UK Scene' gigs has been pretty good i have to say, and so maybe this city's reputation has a place for Punk bands to play has been boosted just a little.
