Ducking slightly under the caress and the kiss, though he knew better than even with Alex that he would come to no harm by this hand and attentions, he accordingly lay quietly attentive as the pale fingers unwrapped Rene's work and did not quail at his damages laying perfectly exposed to this particular male. If he remembered nightmares in the hands of so many others, he recalled only soft kindness from these that tended him now and he merely drew a deep breath to brace himself for the pain cautioned to come, otherwise completely trusting. And the pale one perhaps did not know how rare was the vampire's utter trust. And the undead could scarce explain why he quieted so readily as he did under Ryu's tending, except perhaps that the relationship was akin to that of a flighty, hard-charging racehorse and his parade pony. Something quiet and gentle to sooth wild neves and heal the deepest hurts. And yes, the healing did sting, but the pain was nothing in comparison to that of only moments before and he took it quietly with a wince, turning his eyes away as he pushed a small "Thanks" from his throat.
