I've read that their tactics have also created a backlash in falling sales (hard copies) as a protest, as well as fostering those "creative" new ways of downloading music not the least of which are those "minimum" downloads. There is lots of information on what those thresholds are. Oddly enough there was a business model that suggested selling songs for a nickle or dime each and sales projections went as high as ten times the revenue off of the Internet as hard sales with far less "business" cost. Trouble with these current "50's business models" is they don't embrace the technology. Another thing that is happening are countries who recognize a very viable market in supporting those who chose to be anonymous. I have my site set up in the Bahamas and there are a growing number of companies that will take you in with your exits, as you surf, "strongly" guarded and nearly impossible to identify.
