...and after the war, after democracy is installed, & all their weapons of mass destruction are gone, who will protect it's borders, people, & our interests? Many of the other countries in the area will want a piece of it. The terrorists will want to liberate them from being a puppet nation of the U.S. Who will protect them & our own country from them...at what cost? $100 billion, $200 billion?, $1/2 trillion?...jeeze that's coming out of my pocket & we can't afford it.
It's like Korea or Vietnam all over again. We'll be stuck there forever, unless we give up & leave.
Already look at the progress. We occupy unpopulated areas in the stinking desert, or rough mountainous terrain where hardly anyone lives. As soon as we run into someplace where people are, like towns & cities, our progress has been much slower than anyone expected. So much slower that after the first week, Bush had to ask for $70 billion more!
The Navy alone lanched 700 Tomahawk missiles, dropped 1,000 bombs, & all sorts of other stuff, & all we won was the deserted desert & mountains.
Well there goes my grocery money...I have to pay my taxes before the 15th & I don't have it yet.
It's bad enough I had to drop my health & dental insurance at my age this winter because Bush screwed up the economy, but now they want us to buy & finance this "nam"!
Maybe we should give up eating just to pay for the war.
Sure Bush is a nice man, but I didn't want him to be president, he doesn't know what he's doing, & he didn't win the majority of votes in this country...& in the south there was election cheating anyway.
