I honestly don't have an answer for you off the top of my head.... But I'll think on it and get back to you (all) when I come up with something! (This one is new to me honestly, so I may need to do some research and investigation.... so any more details on this problem will be helpful!)

I only use a "pro-finish" knock-off (from nailite) as a top coat on polish, and on my P & W's (I currently only do gel mind you) I leave them as is after their last coat application.

All I can think of is that since nail polish (top coat) IS an (evaporative cured)acrylic, it too does not cure (like liquid powder acrylics) for 24 hours or more, and as such, clients need to exercise caution with it for the first 24 hours untill it is cured..... meaning limiting exposure to other chemicals that could interfere with its hardening/drying/curing SUCH AS chlorine, bleach, bromine, sunscreen, bug screenk, etc!!!!!

(BTW BUG spray IS (can be) a big problem with most acrylics
as it is a "wax" type product, like car wax or furniture or floor wax, that are intended to break down polymers surface structure to remove surface scratches by "melting" the top layers...... and so I'd assume it goes with most sunscreen products!!!!!)
