Subject: Just Bought New Toy

Howdy y'all...
My name is John and this is my first post on this board. So far, I really like what I see. I have been cooking with a MECO electric water smoker for 3+ years and yesterday took the plunge and bought a Brinkmann Cimarron smoker, and am itchin' to get it fired up. I promised my neighbour, who helped me pick it up, some fine brisket with all the goodies.(And a few ales to boot)
Any suggestions for the fuel to use ?? Charcoal brands, and their prices ?(My wallet still thinks that it is in Scotland)
Has anyone tried to use just wood as a fuel ?
Anyways, looking forward to getting to know you folk out there and keep it low and slow !!!!!!
