Ballad of Lord Garath Longfang.
A great Badger Lord Garath Longfang marched far and wide,
To slay an evil one who had taken the life of one he held dear,
Loyal, perilous hares at his side,
Towards his foe he marched without fear.
Bloodwrath burning in his eyes,
Let vermin know he is coming for sure,
The Badger Lord roaring forth-great battle cries,
Eulaliaaaaaa!! The Long Patrol roar!
Spears up blades drawn, armies crash,
The most powerful of all warriors that great badger lord,
Longfang swings his weapon left and right, cutting down an enemy with a great slash,
The vermin leader, a powerful High Lord,
Brings forth his great spear and leaps forward eyes filled with hatred
All of his vermin army fleeing before the badgers great blade,
Alone and frightened that vermin lord waited,
The badger did nought but slay that wave scum,
His blood red eyes filled with hatred and loathing.
Wounded by countless enemies and saddened by the grief he had brought his Long Patrol,
That badger lay down blood pooling around him, never to rise again,
Disappearing into deaths shadowy hole,
Forever remembered by his loyal friends,
Rest easy great Badger for your rage is gone,
Let your soul rest for you have made amends.
I write this ballad so that you shall know,
The power of hatred and revenge should not be underestimated,
For remember the consequences of that fatal deathblow.
Just think of Longfang’s journey, was it not ill fated?
Just stop and think before you go,
For though great badger’s fury was sated,
Many a creature lost his life for the a selfish reason,
Just because a great badger hated,
Remember this young and old for this great tale is truly finished and told; rest easy for the rest of the spring season.
Because you never know what knew tales will arise,
This is as certain as a sunrise.
I dunno If it is perfect, but eh, who cares..?
