One day when the Lightnings were engaged in a battle against some weasels and wildcats her twin brothers attacked her from behind and nearly killed her.Her forehead and the back of her head had twin jagged cuts that would slowly heal and scar.She had also been hit in the shoulder with an arrow and blood was tickling from her left shin which had been sliced to the bone.The wounds had taken a month and half to heal.During that time Bushytail was injured the rest of the Lightnings who had seen what had happened tried to eplain it to Bushytail's parents who were the drey leaders but they believed that either they were mistaken or lying.Indigo, Teal, and Maroon Lightning got in a huge argument with Bushytail's parents.Teal was a fiery old squirrel with lots of gusto and was Bushytai's grandmother but not the usual type.Instead of knitting she fought alongside her granddaughter and her friends. Although Black Lightning or Bushytail as she changed her name to, was best friends with White Lightning ,a pitete, black squirrel with a white birthmark on her forehead, and Blue Lightning who looked so much like Bushytail they could have been sisters.Black Lightning was friends with all the other young warriors and the even younger cadets.Every squirrel from the Lightning came to visit her as soon as she regained conciousness which took two weeks.Blue Lightning and White Lightning came to see her every day sometimes they'd talk until it would wear Bushytail out so that Teal would shoo them out of the small infirmary room and make Black Lightning rest.
When the month and a half was over Black Lightning went back to her usual lifestyle except she was more cautious and careful.Although she'd later discover she and her friends had not been careful enough.They'd have to pay the price for that and somebeast would loose their life to the twins.
