Couplets-
Up, up, up went the pretty flowers,
Blossoming after April Showers.
The leaves were falling, creating a mound,
For they knew that winter was coming round.
The stream was quick, flowing and twisting by,
Its water reflecting the clear blue sky.
The maple tree stood tall, its' branchs strong.
Years were upon it, its' life had been long.
Quatrains-
The leaf was large and red,
From its branch it had been shed.
It fell, twirling and dancing,
Upon the air it was prancing.
The forest was thick and dark,
Its tree tall and old.
In the summer its hot, in the winter its cold.
In the morning all you could hear was a call of a lark.
Cinquains-
River
Raging and quick,
Racing swiftly along,
Parts are dangerous, others calm.
Winding.
Rainbow
Colors galore,
Appears after showers,
They're curving towards the groound.
Hazy.
Limericks-
The boulder was mighty and still,
It stood silently on a hill.
One day it rolled down,
Crashed right through a town.
No long is that boulder still.
The cave was very dark and damp,
Good thing I brought along my lamp.
I saw several rats,
And five hundred bats.
But soon I had gotten a cramp.
Refrain Poem-
I used to flourish
but time wore on.
I was a home to all
but time wore on.
I was tall and proud
but time wore on.
The leaves came down in fall
but time wore on.
Birds flew among me
but time wore on.
Sounds were aplenty
but time wore on.
The colors were many
but time wore on.
I used to be a forest, with many a tree
but time wore on.
Now I am no more
because time wore on.
