He could have divinely lessened the pain, but that was not His Father's will, and so he suffered the full torment of crucifixion. The information has been presented to you. It's up to you whether you'll choose to look into it further with an open heart, or willingly ignore it. I went from being a skeptic to becoming a believer because I chose not to be willingly ignorant of the messge of eternal life. As soon as I opened my heart to God's word, the Holy Sprit stepped in, and so many things I did not understand before became clear to me.
