We do know that Satan and the Lord spoke to each other, just as God spoke with Moses who was also a sinner. And we also know that Jesus was, of course, in the presence of sin on Earth. We also know that God will be in the presence of all sinful men on the day of judgement. But it is in heaven that sin cannot exist. We who have been washed clean of our sins can and will live with our creator. Those who choose to bear the punishment for their sins will not be allowed to live with Him. I suppose I have been more specific about what I meant by "presence".

Jesus was a man on Earth. He had all of the same organs and tissue as any other man. He suffered the same pain as any other man in his physical condition. He could have divinely lessened the pain, but that was not His Father's will, and so he suffered the full torment of crucifixion. But what it must feel like to bear the sins of the world is beyond the limits of our knowledge. Jesus did it.

Well, if I have a choice bewteen taking your word for it and taking God's word....

Paul, you now know what it will take to enter heaven. The information has been presented to you. It's up to you whether you'll choose to look into it further with an open heart, or willingly ignore it. I went from being a skeptic to becoming a believer because I chose not to be willingly ignorant of the messge of eternal life. As soon as I opened my heart to God's word, the Holy Sprit stepped in, and so many things I did not understand before became clear to me. Two years later, I can only look back in awe at how far I've come in the knowledge of the Lord.
