I think it all depends on how bad success is wanted. In the case of WP, Chynna seems to want to keep it at arm's length.

I thought that WP got fairly decent press for "California" actually....the appearances on TV were far more than I had expected. Even Dateline aired a good segment on them which I think helped album sales the following week. However, they didn't get the radio airplay they needed to get their music heard. It's one thing to promote and show up on TV, but it's another to keep the music playing so that people can grow to like it and make it a hit. There was one station in my area that played "Go Your Own Way" and I think it was maybe 6 times I heard it. I never heard the following 2 singles. It still disappoints me to this day.

I think more so than the NKOTB reunion....the freakin' Spice Girls reunion is what I'm sick of seeing/hearing about! They had what...2 or 3 US hits? And just how cheesey was their material?? They're all acts for a circus sideshow if you ask me. True talent seems to never be acknowledged anymore these days. It's a bubble gum pop world in the music industry. Even damn Madonna has resorted to collaborating with Timbaland and Timberlake for her new album!!!?? Pretty sad.
