Would it be appropriate ... (r)

to try to salvage as much as possible from La Femme Fiction? I was wondering how inappropriate it would be for me to start a section entitled: 'Saved from Internet Death' and archive what can still be found. Honestly, I would absorb non-archived stories by authors currently archived on my site, such as Shelly and Ghost, since I do have their permission, but leave the others in the 'Saved' section with a comment that they are they will be removed upon author's request, kind of thing.

Do you think that is just too much?

If I had know La Femme Fiction was going to disappear, I would have offered to maintain it, but ...
