I lived in Burnage Close ,Speke from about 1948 until 1960 I attended Speke Secondary Modern for girls in central Ave.Until 1955,I worked at Lockheeds and my father also worked there he was the Boxing coach Tommy Walsh,my 2 brothers Ritchie and Billy also boxed there .I have some fantastic memories ,of the Bluebell Woods Ogglet shore ,we used to sneak down to Ogglet because it was out of bounds in our house my dad thought it was dangerous to go there,We used to attend the dance on a Friday night at the club at St Christopher's it was Shiling to get in we ,Some of my fiends where the Brown Family,The from Burnage Close, Aileen Walker from Western Ave. Willy Lumley who used drive the ice cream van.xx

Hi John, I lived in Harland green, I boxed for Lockheeds and the trainers name was Tommy Walsh. Used to finish training on Monday night the straight into Lockheeds club.
