Calverts owned a shop in Albert Road, Widnes. As far as I know it was Charlie who built the house in between the thatched houses on Hale Road and he lived there for years. Then the Calverts moved into the bungalow which was next door to the Post Office and which was originally built by Mrs Lynch. Mrs Lynch previously run the village shop which is now the Hale post office. After Mrs Lynch the shop was run by Yan Imink ( don't know if that's spelled right) Then Yan moved to Ivy Farm Court shops and opened a small supermarket. The original Post Office was located next to the Smithy and it was run by Mrs Nailor. Next door to the bungalow was Doctor Mercer's surgery and house. Just a little more information I found by asking the locals.
