THIS SITE IS BRILLIANT,THE LITTLE FARM-HOUSE WAS THE SPEKE BOYS CLUB ONE OF THEBEST IN THE COUNTRY TOP FOOTBALL,TABLE-TENNIS,CROSS-COUNTRY. I USED TO HAVE A PAPER-ROUND FROM HALE GARAGE I ALSO DONE ONE FOR ROBERT HORSLEY,SWOPPED MY MINI-COOPER FOR AN AUSTIN-HEALEY.GREATDAYS.HAD MY FIRST PINT IN THE CHILDE OF HALE 1959 CHRISTMAS EVE GREAT DAYS BE BACK AGAIN

sorry to disapoint you about the kellogs house but the house you mean was built by the calvert family.they owned a department store in widnes and one in frodsham. this info is from my ma in law dolly who cleaned for them in the 80s. they moved to a bungalow next to hale post office nice people, sadly no longer with us.
