Thanks, Barry and Jack, for having Denise Batchelder from the New England Organ Bank on the show last night. I didn't think I contributed a whole lot, but it didn't matter because it was so fascinating listening to her explain everything that leads up to organ donation and how the NEOB operates.

Denise and I were talking after the show and I was telling her how it wasn't even a conscious thought when I asked the doctor about donating Tony's organs. The question just came out without me even thinking about it. It's like you said, Jack--the subject should be discussed NOW, long before it's ever needed, that way a person will know what to do when someone they love dies.

I hope the audience learned a lot about the organ donation process and will consider it when the situation arises. Nothing can ever bring Tony back, but it helps to know that others have been helped and can live a longer or healthier life by receiving his corneas, skin, veins or bones.

Thanks,
Karen
