Doubt no longer exists. Therefore, Confusion, too, is gone. No-Doubt and No-Confusion also no longer remain. Only Not-Knowing remains.

Seeking can Never find its intended goal because the hoped for goal is Unreal: It is only an image in the mind of the seeker.

When the seeker recognizes that his goal is nothing more than a mental image he realizes that seeking itself is the Veil that prevents the enjoyment of Not-Knowing.

For, in Not-Knowing there is no attempt, need, or pressure to find a future goal.

Thus, if the seeker is fortunate, what he discovers is that, instead of finding what he was looking for, he loses what he was looking for.

What is lost is the image in the mind of the seeker that created the attempt, need or pressure to seek in the first place. Thus, seeking ends with the exact opposite condition that motivated the search in the first place.

What is discovered is not what was sought because what was sought was the addition, or inclusion, of a new condition of existence and what is discovered is that an old, apparent, condition of existence (a Veil) has fallen away.

In Not-Knowing there can be No Separation. If you do not know what anything is then there is no difference between things.

In Not-Knowing seeking cannot persist because there are no concepts to vitalize the search.

In Not-Knowing Doubt and Confusion cannot persist. If Doubt and Confusion are gone then how could there be a search at all?

"Then for him the faultless, immaculate 'eye of dhamma' arose: 'Whatever is of the nature to arise, all that is of the nature to cease.' And he (thereby) saw the dhamma, attained the dhamma, understood the dhamma, penetrated the dhamma; he crossed over all doubts, dispersed all confusion, achieved self-confidence, and no longer depended upon others in the Master's teaching." 1
