in my second birth, i feel the great relief of awakening, includes the relief of concern about dying and death. if i picture myself dying, it seems very natural, and i see myself holding myself, in the same way i do in any event in my life. mostly, i feel like i got what i wanted, the only thing i really had to have in this life. this awakening to onlyness. so from now on, life is sort of an elaboration of this one purpose. and i want to be here as long as being can use me to serve the world. and yeah, i enjoy eating chocolate mint ice cream, etc. but the peace that passes all understanding is mine no matter what. even in a rest home i know it will be so. and even on my death bed. and i am sure there will be big time sorrow to hold in feeling how my husband and daughter and others will grieve. but right now alive, i hold so much suffering, the suffering of so many animals especially. So i would say the 2nd birth is such an all encompassing, complete wellness, in all circumstances, that even death falls within its sphere.
