This is exactly the point. Donald is denying one of the central doctrines of the JW's. That ONLY 144,000 will go to heaven. Donalds view, from what I can gather, is that more than this number will go but is still limted !!
If it is still limited whats the limit, or is it everyone who becomes a JW will go to heaven?? Either way it makes the number "unlimited" because we cannot point to any end figure.
From my reading of the posts between Vince and Donald, it seems to me that Donald is afraid that, his view of the 144,000 will get back to the JW's. He has developed some form of paranoia, that his JW brothers will find out, that he writes on such forums as this.
Also from reading his post I think he sees being a JW as being some form of academic exercise, like his university studies. Its just gaining knowledge there is no heart or love motivation involved. I've met many JW's warm on the outside, but cold on the inside.
Like many JW's I have met Donald can probably reel off selective scriptures to support his view. But they mean nothing because there is no love behind it. Its just a means to lure someone into the Watchtower organisation.
Not a means to bring people to Christ and salvation.
