On March 4, 2003 a ban on Pit Bulls and AmStaffs became effective. WAF and responsible dog owners have filed a lawsuit against the city, on March 11, 2003 WAF was in court to obtain a temporary restraining order against enforcement of the ordinance, the judge granted part of our request for relief and prohibited the city from using anyone to identify Pit Bulls. The city is now talking about amending the ordinance, responsible dog owners and WAF expect to go to trial.
