Ending support of Israel is the right thing to do, however such action would impart little effect on our current engagement in Iraq. The Iraqis don't hate us because of our support of Israel - although that is one of many issues it is certainly not the main one. The biggest reason we are seeing the type of resistance we are seeing is basic human psychology. People will settle into, adapt to, and learn to accept the situation in which they live. People being naturally disposed to defend and support their living environment will obviously react negatively and often violently when sudden changes are forced upon them. This is normal, and should be expected. This was also forecast. The cattle - that's short for the American populace - would never have given any ounce of support to a war with such a sure prognosis of drawn-out resistance. So the issue was sidestepped. As for the US being an outlaw nation - well I think you've overindulged a little there, but not too much. I firmly believe that we need to get our asses up off of everyone else's toilets, but in order to do that we have to face some general facts: 1) There will be increased turmoil in the world. Without American oppression of uprisings in small, poor nations around the world we will see an unwanted (for the US) rise in revolution. 2) Inflation will shoot through the roof. Minus the big guns in the Middle East, subsidies to Russia and SOuth America, and bribes to most all of the third world, the price of most consumer goods would shoot through the roof. You will be telling your kids about the good ol' days when gas was only $2 a gallon . . . 3) Interest rates will rise. The huge amount of money flowing out of our pockets and into the American Supremacy movement across the globe is a major stabilizing factor in our economy. 4) And so on and so on. WIthout our current method of forcefully 'co-operating' with the rest of the world, the status of the US in relation to our global neighbors would drop significantly. The security guard is a moron, but that's good because we need morons. Morons allow things to work - they are the grease in the wheels of democracy - easy to control, too dumb to understand what goes on around them, and perfectly happy to see armed rednecks in black and white patrol cars cruising up and down quiet city streets leering at their daughters and wives.
