presidents who start wars are suspect.

presidents who manipulate "intelligence" to justify invasions are more suspect.

presidents who have such piss-poor advisors as to make bone-headed mistakes about WMD and who have such sadistic military and/or "intelligence" leadership as to allow or ignore torture and humiliation are most suspect.

the economy is larger than any one presidency or party. money ebbs and flows. once a life is taken, it never comes back.

what does it say about us when we sink to the levels we declare we abhor? we poison our waterways, our atmosphere, and our bodies in the name of the holy dollar for the Walmarts and the Gates and the Nikes and the Conocos of this world, but we pay lip service to the ballot box and democracy.

HOW MANY OF YOU WHO READ THIS BOARD WHO ARE OLD ENOUGH TO VOTE VOTED THE LAST ELECTION, EVEN IF MAYBE ONLY A SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION? HOW MANY OF YOU HAVE VOTED EVERY ELECTION SINCE YOU WERE OLD ENOUGH TO REGISTER?

Which one of you is willing to run for office?
