The more I study pols, the harder it is to distinquish between the "left" and the "right."

Do insurance companies exist because they want the insured to be able to sleep soundly knowing risk is covered? No -- they exist to make money!

Does a corporation exist to make a particular product? No -- it exists to make a profit for the owners.

Does a bank exist to pay interest on savings accounts to depositors? No -- it exists to earn interest from borrowers.

Does government exist to help people? No -- it exists to keep people from maining and murdering each other so that it can levy on these people and the elected leaders enjoy the perks of office.

Who is the pol who stays in politics to help people? Left, right, independent, green, libertarian -- matters not -- the pols are hooked on the power they wield.

The "left" exits so the "right" will have something to rail against, and the "right" exists so the "left" will have something to whine about.

If an issue being debated were masked, would one really know which side was which based upon rhetoric?

Who was it who said, "I never learned anything debating with someone with whom I agreed?"

What is really frustrating is knowing that everything is political.
