I am honestly curious about your opinion of slavery being practiced in Sudan. Are you aware of it? Isn't Sudan a Muslim nation?

I thought you'd have a better idea of the situation there due to it's proximity to Egypt.

Black people have always enslaved each other. You mean you haven't heard about the slave trade in Sudan? Supposedly the slave traders are all Muslim and the buyers are all Arabs.

According to the wire services and several Christian relief organizations the slave trade is mostly women and children, and they are being gang-raped on a regular basis. The slave traders are raping boys and girls as young as 5 years old. They also mutilate the womens genitals.

I was just curious how other Muslim countries regarded the practices of a neighboring Muslim country.

But the rest of my questions are legitimate. If you want I can get several links to wire service stories about the slave trade in Sudan.

Are you saying this isn't widely known in the Muslim community?
